yes, she does -- we had to put the book up where she couldn't rub/mark it.

Good idea. Elizabeth Peters/Barbara Mertz sent us a copy of one of her latest books (Serpent in the Crown??), and before I was even halfway through Tashi and Ramses had "marked" it by licking the edge of the book jacket until it was frayed. I didn't realize what was happening until it was too late.
