I am crockpotting a pot roast in cabernet sauce and of course it's been smelling wonderful for hours even though it won't be ready for hours more.
gallllggggghhhh. yummeh.
Will be serving with 4-cheese scalloped potatoes and possibly fresh asparagus.
I am literally watering at the mouf (better than foaming at the mouth).
All the fudz are from Trader Joe's.
Last night we had a chicken and we had to fight small furry aminals for it.

As soon as I started reading this my salivary glands sprang into action.
WOW.....that sounds just Heavenly!!!! DO let us know how it tastes!!!! :D~~~~~
Sounds delish no matter what magic you use.
I could do small amounts myself in our fancy new toaster oven, but why bother when TJ's will sell it to me in a nukable bag?
I'm not too much of a corporate whore, but I really feel like Trader Joe's, Ikea and In and Out Burger are missing a key demographic (the demographic of val) in Albany, NY.
Back in China, when I was little (before I was vegetarian and all), we would get whole chickens, and the cats loved them. They would get on the table, knock things down, and bat pieces of the carcass around the floor, leaving grease streaks everywhere. (This was mainly Semi and Otis and other kitties, before Ping. Ping liked gnawing on chicken bones, but I don't think he ever played chicken soccer quite so passionately).
It was a smidge heavy on the salt and pepper and I should have put more garlic in, but it was YUMMERS. Falling apart tender. I put some carrots in the last couple of hours to cook in the liquid.
The taters weren't as cheesy as I expected, which was actually good. Or, they were real cheese instead of artificial cheez flavr, I guess.
Leftovers tomorrow!
Our kitties don't bat food around, they are too busy eating it. We'll drop pieces of chicken down and TK will catch them before they hit the floor.
