TUXBOY IS HOME!!! (and tortie update)

Great to hear he's home, not great to hear HRT needs coaxing. I'm sure it's just a phase. The antiseptic wash answers my question yesterday - I wondered, and it makes sense. Poor little guy probably isn't feeling so great right about now. But he jumped up on the shlef? If so, that's a good sign.

Thanks for the update, and ummm, can't wait for pics!
I'm so glad that TK is safely home where he can be pampered and comfy. *petpet*

I hope Tortie starts eating properly - that's really worrisome. :( I think seeing ants crawling about would just make the Miao Bros hungrier (especially Lotus). Maybe deep down HRT was upset by TK's condition, maybe she worried about him or maybe it just upset her routine for him to be so sick...

Poor little buddy, but sooo glad to hear he is home and on the mend (and hopefully no more pee-pee problems)!
Can't wait for baboon butt pics.

I had a black cat with a tail abcess once, so I know what you mean.....
The poor boy felt so bad, that I felt really guilty laughing that hard.

Por Tortie, though, all her wonderful pouting destroyed by a single shot!

Poor LT with another vet visit! Amazing about the Valium, though.

I'm glad to hear about TK home. I also can't wait for the buttpix.

You've certainly been through the kitty mill, LT. I'm inclined to agree with littlem, that HRT needed some ataynshun of her owns maybe. Are you familiar with Rescue Remedy? You can give it to pets in their water, or just a drop under the tongue.

there will be shaved pussy pix later.
I'm not touching that with a ten-foot pole.

Glad to hear Mr. Tux-Boy is back home! Hope Tortie starts eating properly soon. What a time you've had!
Miss Tortie is a diva. She's done this same thing twice before, with no provocation. Before there was an annoying TK in her life.

I asked the vet "Can we get some Valium for mommy?" heh.

She's still not eating properly, so I'm going to try some different kinds of wet fud. And allow her to stay in the bedroom overnight, safe from the strange-looking and smelling tuxbrat.

Him boy is having to eat off completely flat surfaces. Any edge, even like you get on a paper plate, is too confusing for him to maneuver around. The first time he ate, right after getting home, he dropped the fud on the floor to eat it, and got it all over the inside of his cone.

Upon further examination, his underside has been shaved completely from about the bottom of his breastbone all the way to his baboon butt.

Oh dear. Looks like we'll have to take him back in. The cone is keeping him from eating, but he can just barely get his tongue out to lick his stitches. Him not too bright, but very flexible.
Oh, I hate the multiple trips back to the vet for some little thing. Can you extend the edge of the cone a half inch or so more with a lip of duct tape or something and save yourselves a trip back in?

Hurray! You were making me laugh through a lot of this post, just to let you know. I hope your lil tux-conehead heals quickly!
Duct tape! Of course. Mr. LT will enjoy doing that much more than he'd enjoy taking TK in again.

wish me luck, it's time for him TWO liquid medicines.
Poor kitties! HRT is such a drama queen-glad the vet had some tricks up her sleeve!

look forward to the pics!! lol

great to hear that tk is home now and will be on the mend. :)
Yes, Tortie is a drama queen. If there isn't enough, she will manufacture it. Mostly with the anorexia. She is a little floofy supermodel.

I'm wanting to feed TK mostly wet food, but crunchies are much easier for him to eat. He gets gooshyfood smeared all over his cone and dropped on the floor, whereas he can stick out his tongue and the dry will stick to it. Whatever he eats, he periodically has to stick his head straight up. And his earz get folded back with the cone sometimes. The cone diverted the flow of the water fountain on to the floor at first, much confusion (hee!). Physics not him strong suit.

But it works as a megaphone to focus the purrrrrrrrrrrr.
TK is purrrrrrring? Excellent!!
Of COURSE! Him's a very purry boy. Him being the first of the tux kits to relax in my arms and go purrrrrr is why he got to live inside.

As soon as he got home and ate, I reached into the cone and skritched his face and ears and he went purrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

For those who want to know the medical details of TK's whole saga:
