Him in recovery, crystals have been removed from his bladder, he'll probably get to come home tomorrow afternoon with drugs and the cone of shame.
Thanks for the thoughts.
HRTortie had a great night yesterday, being on FDaddy's lap all evening, sleeping on Mommy's electric blanket, and cuddling with me early this morning. I was under the covers with her, thinking about all the stuff I needed to do and worrying about TK, till I realized that I couldn't do anything about any of those things at that time, so the best cause of action was to go back to sleep petting the warm floofy purring tortie. The Zen of Floof got me another 4 hours' sleep.
The kitties did nothing cute today. Just a lot of sleeping, some asking for food, and one fight.
I slept late and didn't do much either. Not even much web-surfing, just a lot of staring at random TV.
Yesterday the grocery store was having a thing where if you bought X amount of stuff, you'd get free BACON, eggs, and OJ. Unfortunately, I didn't drag my ass out till like 4, and the bacon was gone. Of course, people aren't stupid when there's free bacon on offer. But my shopping added up to enough that I got a $20 coupon for Kohl's. So I'm gonna buy me a new pair of jeans. Amongst my bargains were spotting 4 lbs. of sirloin for $10. :O That's 8 dinners for me and Mr. LT, be it pot roast, soup, or stew, and good meat for cheap.
Have a coupon for a $1 meatball special at IKEA tomorrow. We haven't been since before Mr. LT got cut back to half-pay, so that'll at least amuse us, plus I need a digital cooking thermometer now that I'm having to cook. And even though we'll have to pay full price for the beverages, I want me some lingonberry soda.
I want Mr. LT to get a good job with medical coverage so we can DO something. I'm totally a homebody, but even I can only stand so much time sitting on the couch watching TV with the kitties. Although HRTortie was VERY snuggly over the weekend, taking turns on our laps. Her floof is on the way to redonk levels with winter coming on.
Will try to find something more exciting for future posts. Even when you don't have a job, Monday is still very Monday.
One of my videos is too big/long. However, this shorter one is the less-wobbly of the two, Although it has much less gnawing goofyness from tuxboy. I'll try to get the other one edited down for tomorrow.
Here's HRT and TK in the kitchen, and a guest starring passion fruit rind.
Last night, our cable modem was out for a while and so Fabulous Daddy went to see if there was anything he could do.
There was a nice open space on the desk, and a floofy little HRT who wanted some attention.
These are camera phone pix so they're not the best, but the tortietude and cuteness still shows.
I always have to feed the kittehs before myself in the morning. So I blame this on low blood sugar.
I put down a clean bowl for HRTortie b/c her old one had dried food and gunk on it, and some long cat hair. Which is to be expected since she's a very floofy girl.
This lead to my brain singing:
She's a very floofy girl
The kind you do bring home to mother
She's a
Super floof! Super floof!
She's super floofy!
whoa oh oh oh...
I am eating my Cocoa Puffins now.
Gotta buy both crunchies and gooshyfood today and some people food, and return library books, so I won't be around till later..
Yesterday I made another loaf of bread. Mr. LT got a new belt to drive the motor for it, and it makes much less noise -- doesn't bother the kitty ears! Plus a turkey teriyaki meatloaf.
Hope everyone is having a tolerable Tuesday.
... never going to happen on this blog!!!
For your perusal, here are two never-before-seen pics of the kittehs.
In this undated photo, an adolescent enjoys an activity he'd later lose interest in.
The internet would collapse without cat pix. NOT ON MY WATCH!
Sniffed canteloupe twice, but didn't really care.
Nommed the heck out of a passion fruit (we checked online to make sure it was safe). He practically grabbed it out of my hand. He's never done that before and the vine is older than him is.
Silly kitty.
Tortie uninterested in either. Her is much too regal.
The bread machine is creating another loaf for us hoomans. The kittehs aren't much for whole wheat, they like white bread and donuts.
I let Tortie sleep with me last night. She was a very good girl. She snuggled and purred for about 10 min. when I climbed into bed, then she slept not on me and not in my space (!) all night.
When I was sort of half awake this morning (hubby was up and making going-to-work noises), she did the mewing and big pleading purr till I let her get under the covers and petted her again. Floof and purrs are the best zen meditation ever. You get no-mind very easily.
Then she wiggled out and let me sleep some more. Not once did she whine to get out and eat gooshyfud until I actually got up and then I got the big meows. She ate crunchies overnight and I'm sure she appreciated being safe from tuxbrat for hours.
Now the only problem will be NOT letting her in tonight. The princess gets expectations.
P.S. Today's CO calendar, Rule of Cuteness #29, the paw-flexing: she did that and it is certainly cute. The illustrating kitn is almost a dead ringer for Previous Ping-Type Kitty (minus floof) so I may have to save this page.
