What's your favorite type of donut?
Submitted by tomatshonino.
Her Royal Tortieness says: whatever Mommy's eating!
However, she really likes Krispy Kreme's seasonal Pumpkin Spice. I think b/c she's kinda like a spice cake herself.
And we even have video of her going NOM NOM NOM:
He's doing better. He still has to spend a lot of time (and all night) shut up in his room b/c he's still peeing in inappropriate places. His box is now full of shredded newspaper instead of kitty litter b/c he was producing more on the papers we have lying around the house than in the boxes. The litter probably doesn't feel good. He also has the water fountain in there, and is eating the prescription crunchies.
Him still licking furiously at his wee-wee after he goes wee-wee, but since he had a tube stuffed up it for several days, no surprise. In the past hour, he finally hauled himself up to paw-dangle on the back of the couch like usual, and then when I opened the window, he made his way over to teh windo shlef to look out and chatter at the flock of chirping finches. Good boy! He's asleep on it right now.
Tortie is very talky, fussy, annoyed that he's home and smells funny. She's going easy on him, though. She loves having him closed up in the library, although his ROOWLs bother her.
Thanx for all the good thoughts. He has to go back to the vet on Monday so keep it up. Xtra speshul thanks to Lauri.
So it's been about 100 degrees here this week and thus I haven't done much except sit around and sweat. The window A/C is up, but that only cools one room.
As soon as the sun goes down, we open up all the windows and doors. The cats love this. TK is very very busy going from one to another. He wants to be at each at the same time! HRT just picks one and tries to stay out of his way.
We escaped to see "Iron Man" and really enjoyed the movie as well as the A/C. Although at $8 for a matinee (!!!), we damn well better have.
The word of the week has been: PA-SICKIES!!!
Here's the pretty pretty princess kitty chasing after Feather-On-A-Stick.
(I couldn't load this before as I mentioned in the last post. Please look at that for stills of HRT.)
I rotated the camera towards the end, but I warned everyone on the audio before I did it. So you will have to flop
your head sideways to see the big finish.
Please enjoy.
My 365 Kittens A Day calendar has a tortie for February. So here's some tortieness:
Note the artwork next to the calendar. And here she is with the new Laugh-Out-Loud Cats book:
And here's the personalization:
There's supposed to be a cute video of HRT playing here, but stoopy VOX won't let me upload it. :(
I think there's a mouse in the house!
Our furnace is in a closet in the entryway. HRTortie has been staring and sniffing under the door of it for at least half an hour, back and forth. TK has been sitting a foot or two away, looking at the door but not pouncing on tortie, who's in an excellent spot to be pounced upon. They've never gone this long wide awake that close without fighting.
There's a screen on the bottom of the door (to keep tuxbrat from shoving all the toys in there) so if there's a mouse, it can't get out and the cat paws can't get in. I am not going to open it since I don't want mousie to run around the house. Neither of these kittehs knows what to do with live food, so they wouldn't be able to hunt it down. Am hoping it will find its way back outside. Or else import King Ping or Batcat.
At least it's keeping them busy and quiet.
Tortie just came over to talk to me. "rrRRRRRRRttt?" TK has now started sniffing at the door.
To add to my ever-growing collection of Kitteh and Pip, the Original Laugh-Out-Loud Cats, I now have two more originals, namely:
Unfortunately (here's my Festivus Grievance), the !@#$%^&* Post Office bent them kinda badly -- looks like the envelope got stuck in a machine somewhere, as it was also completely open. Grrrrrr. I must find out how to flatten them for framing.
Also got an adorable kitty Christmas card from the Miao Brothers, which has been inspected and approved by HRT and TK.
Outdoors, brr and damp.
Indoors, I has flannel and fleece.
Yesterday I made a pot of my semi-famous beef and 13-bean soup so the house smelled wonderful. The BFF's came over to eat it. We had one ginormous bowl each, big chunk of French bread, small glass of red wine.
Then we played some Wii bowling and tennis and creation of new Miis. TK "helped" with the bowling by swatting at our hands just as we let go of the "ball". He had to be relocated.
They noticed how TK is no longer just a skinny long-leggedy beastie, but how he's put on a lot of weight (mostly muscle) recently. Gotta keep an eye on him so he doesn't go the rotund way of Daddy Moo.
HRT sat atop the cat tree, watching some and snoozing some, happy that the brat had something besides her to focus his brattitude upon.
Later Mr. LT and I imported a bunch of Miis from out there. Also noticed there were some new ones that had come directly to us -- methinks either Mariser or DavidBoBavid have had friends over; who created "Ant-Man"?
The shoppingks is almost all done; the mail-order things are on their way. Between Amazon and ThinkGeek, I got 'em covered.
So there's an exciting Monday at the LT house. Today will be much more boring.
PS Sunday we went out to do some local shopping and so I could pick up the ingredients for the soup. We did has cheezburger (In-N-Out) and as we were leaving the grocery store, the Krispy Kreme HOT NOW light was on and the smell of fresh donuts wafted across the parking lot. So I decided I needed a couple for the next day's breakfast, went in, bought them, and the lady gave us each a free donut straight off the line! I was stuffed but I inhaled it anyway. Mmmm.... donuts. All warm and fluffy and goooooey. Sublime.
